Bike Adventures was started in 2000 with the aim of providing the best possible cycling holidays at more reasonable prices than other companies were offering. As regular cyclists ourselves, and having frequently cycle toured in Europe and some of the more remote parts of the planet, we wanted to run the sort of holidays we would like to go on.
Fourteen years on we have met some wonderful people who have been on our holidays, we have learnt a lot, even changed a few of our original plans, but our aim remains the same, to provide holidays that are well organised, great fun and that offer good value for money. We pride ourselves on our superb routes, crystal clear route guides, enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour leaders and a commitment to delivering the best holiday experience possible.
In 2014 Bike Adventures became a limited company and moved to its new base in Ludlow, Shropshire from where it is managed by Dominic Cassidy and Michael Ashbery with the ongoing operational support of Rob Tanti and Steve Wesson.
These are exciting times for Bike Adventures. The team has been working hard to design a series of new bike trips to some of the world’s most amazing places – from the Tibetan wilderness to the secret wonders of Bhutan and, closer to home, some brand new European road cycling adventures. We are driven by a spirit of fun and adventure that you will feel on every trip we run.
We offer unparalleled and friendly pre- and post-trip planning assistance, which can even include expert training programmes, if required. Our guides are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, reliable and have extensive knowledge of the routes they lead.
We still believe that travelling by bicycle is by far the best way of seeing any country and are committed to offering holidays and routes that will prove it.
