Isle of Man
Explore the four corners of this small but stunning island over a long weekend.
- Miles of quiet country roads
- Beautiful coastline and stunning scenery
- Delicious local artisan food and drink
- Historical attractions, folklore
The Isle of Man has a rich history in all forms of cycling, boasting multiple racing champions, including Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh. It is also home to no fewer than three of our Bike Adventures Tour Leaders, which means intimate local knowledge is guaranteed on this trip. The Isle of Man has miles and miles of quiet lanes and our 3 days of cycling covers fresh ground each day. However, the small overall size of the Island means there is the added benefit that we use the same accommodation every night, so you will only have to unpack once. We will cycle past an almost endless variety of historical attractions, ranging from Viking settlements to the Island’s Victorian steam trains and electric trams. Self-sufficiency is a big part of Island life and delicious fresh local produce features strongly in Manx restaurants, sourced from the Island’s long-established agriculture and fishery sectors. There is also a thriving drinks industry, particularly in prize-winning real ales, ciders and artisan gins distilleries.
We’ll be running four Isle of Man tours during 2020, starting from the first VE-Day May Bank Holiday, followed by June, July and August options.
