AMSTERDAM
Starting at Regents Park in the centre of London, the route follows local cycle routes and paths out of the city, and then continues through the pleasant undulating coutryside of Essex, passing through pretty villages of thatched timber framed houses.
We then take the overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, to spend three days cycling through the lovely Dutch countryside. The route takes you north along the coast to the town of Alkmaar, then along the shore of Ijsselmeer to Amsterdam.
We have both the evening and the whole of the following day free in Amsterdam to give you time to explore the many attractions the city has to offer - the many canals and waterways and museums including the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. The next day transport is provided to take you to Amsterdam airport or railway station for the journey home.
