A great challenge in its own right or use it as a training/tester weekend before tackling  one of our other routes.

The route starts on the west coast in Whitehaven with its rich history & Georgian architecture, straight out into the country for some fabulous views & abundant wildlife, up over the Pennines with its bleak beauty & down to Sunderland with its mixture of old & new & industrial heritage.  We average 45miles per day & pride ourselves on making sure everyone achieves their goal & has fun as well!

Our route is based on that published by Sustrans, followed by many thousands over the years. We will be following the C2C road route, although you are free to take the well signed off road alternatives if you choose to do so, and we travel through some of the most scenic roads in the world. As well as stunning scenery if you keep your eyes peeled you will also see a wide selection of flora & fauna.

The roads rise and fall and there are plenty of ‘lumps’ to maintain interest before you reach the peak at the Black Hill at around 1400 feet but it’s not a race and slow & steady wins the day (or the mountain goats among us can skip to the top!)

We offer 3 trips spaced through the year so one date should fit you. the roads and trails are generally very quiet & even at peak season apart from some very short sections you will be unlikely to have to dodge the traffic! Part of the joy of the C2C is the camaraderie of the people you meet, walkers & cyclists, stop & chat or try to keep ahead, the choice is yours, we’ll always be nearby to ensure you are OK & will never leave anyone behind no matter how slow you think you are!
