We have often been asked why we don't have more UK holiday and so for 2010 we have introduced this trip that takes you through some of the most scenic areas of south-west England, and at the same time visiting the many attractive cathedral towns of the area.

For regular cyclists the cycling isn't too challenging, which should give you plenty of time to do some exploring and sightseeing in the towns along the way, with a chance to visit some of the finest cathedrals in Europe.

The trip starts and finishes in Bristol and from here the route takes you north to Gloucester, then via Hereford and Worcester into the Cotswolds, the country's largest officially designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. It is an area well known for it's outstanding countryside with river valleys, water meadows and beech woods, and sleepy ancient limestone villages and its historic 'typically English' market towns.

Leaving the Cotswolds we pass the magnificent palace and gardens at Blenheim and then continue through the old university city of Oxford, and across the River Thames and continue south across Salisbury Plain to visit the cathedral at Winchester before turning west and passing through Salisbury, Wells and Bath on the way back to Bristol.

This is a hotel based trip. Most nights we will be staying in larger towns where there is plenty to see and do. There are no rest days on the holiday.
