ABOUT US
|
THE COMPANY
Bike Adventures was started in 2000 with the aim of providing the best possible cycling holidays at more
reasonable prices than other companies were offering. As regular cyclists ourselves, having frequently cycle toured in Europe
and some of the more remote parts of the planet, we wanted to run the sort of holidays we would like to go on ourselves.
Five years on we have met some wonderful people who have been on our holidays, we have learnt a lot, even changed a few
of our original plans, but our aim remains the same, to provide holidays that are well organised, great fun and that offer
good value for money.
Despite not being able to go on our own holidays we still get great pleasure from introducing people to touring by bicycle
and taking them to destinations they haven't visited before or would be unlikely to visit by themselves.
We still believe that travelling by bicycle is by far the best way of seeing a country.

THE PEOPLE |
|
Kevin
Bike Adventures is run by Kevin White who started cycling soon after he learnt to walk. Having been involved in the travel
industry for over 20 years he has travelled in more than 60 countries all over the world (and cycled in all
but one of them!) He has been organising and leading cycle trips for almost 10 years. He plans, researches, and writes all
the Bike Adventures routes, and leads as many Fully Supported Holidays as possible. |
 |
|
Gabby
Gabby works in the Bike Adventures office and helps Kevin research and check the routes. She is a trained nurse and when
time allows she helps to lead some tours, but is probably best known for her delicious "Gabbyjam" which is served with the afternoon tea on the
camping holidays. Her favourite Bike Adventures trip is to Southern India. |
 |
|
Sarah
After coming on a couple of our holidays Sarah joined us to help in the office. She now runs the office and is usually the person you
will speak to when you call (or e-mail) us. She and her husband Ian are keen cyclists, and have been on most Bike Adventures holidays in the
last few years. They also lead some of our UK and Ireland holidays. Sarah's favourite trip is Channel to the Med. |

|
Ross
Ross has been working with Bike Adventures for 4 years. He lived in Grenoble for several years, is fluent in French and is
consequently our "French Specialist". He arranges and books accommodation for our Continental trips, and leads holidays on both
sides of the Channel. His favourite tour is anywhere in the mountains!
